Update 5/11/06
Dark Portals, Dark Incarnation, and Work in Progress
It
isn't easy to remember to update a website. It isn't easy to find the time to do it, either. When life gets busy, I tend to
forget all about this site. It's the same with writing sometimes. When someone has to work or go to school or has a lot going
on, it's hard to find time to write. But to get good at writing, one has to practice. Writing's a craft that is never completely
mastered, but you can always get better at it and the only way to do that is to make the time to write.
Even
if all you can do is write for ten minutes while you're waiting for your brother to get out of the bathroom in the mornings
(and why does he have to take such long showers anyway), that's better than nothing. The key is to try to find the same time
every day and use that time only for writing. No housework or chores, no homework, no web surfing... Wait a minute, I need
to take that advice myself! LOL.
The
point is, even if you can only manage a few minutes a day, as long as you use that time only for writing, you'll learn and
improve in your writing. It might not all be perfect, and no one expects it to be. But if you work enough, you'll come close.
In
memory of those killed and in honor of those affected by this fall's hurricanes. Thoughts and prayers to all.
